Welcome to Caronrent!

These terms & conditions conduct the use of our website, mobile application, and car rental services we provide. By making a reservation or using any service of our platform, you are agreeing to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Who We Are

Caronrent is an online platform that allows customers to search, compare, and rent vehicles from various destinations across the United States. We work as an intermediary between customers and local vehicle rental providers.

Your Agreement with Caronrent

When you book a service with us, you are entering a contract with the rental provider and not directly with the US. We aim to provide the booking process and customer service, but the provider is responsible for delivering the vehicle and related services.

Eligibility to Rent

To rent a car through Caronrent, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (or older, depending on local laws or rental provider requirements).
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with no major endorsements.
  • Present a government-issued photo ID and a valid credit/debit card at pickup.

Booking and Payment

  • Reservations must be made through our website or mobile app.
  • Payment can be done during booking or pickup, depending on the provider.
  • Booking confirmations are sent via email.

Note: while booking a car rental it is your responsibility to review and confirm the accuracy of your reservation.

Rental Terms & Responsibilities

  • After using, the user must return the vehicle in the same condition and with the same fuel level as when it was collected.
  • Users will be responsible for traffic violations, tolls, fines and the damages that may happen during the rental period.
  • The vehicle must not be used for racing, transporting illegal items, or towing.
  • Only eligible drivers listed in the agreement can use the rental vehicles.

Modifications, Extensions & Cancellations

  • You can cancel or modify the booking through the Caronrent account or by contacting our support team.
  • Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
  • Our cancellation policy is outlined separately (see Refund & Cancellation Policy).
  • If you fail to show up or can’t provide the necessary documents at pickup, you may be considered a “No Show”. And will not be eligible for a refund.

Insurance and Liability

  • Basic insurance coverage (third-party liability) is included with all bookings.
  • Additional coverage (e.g., Collision Damage Waiver or Theft Protection) may be offered at extra cost.
  • Renters are financially responsible for any damage or theft not covered by the protection plan selected.

Availability and Substitution

  • Vehicle listings reflect real availability. However, the chosen model may not be available.
  • The rental provider may offer a similar vehicle category at no extra cost.

Prohibited Uses of Our Platform

  • Make fake, speculative, or fraudulent bookings.
  • Access or monitor our website using automated means.
  • Post misleading or unlawful reviews.
  • Impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Caronrent is not responsible for service interruptions, delays, and losses caused by third parties.
  • We do not guarantee that all details are always accurate or error-free.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caronrent is not liable for indirect, incidental damages.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Your information is collected and used as per our Privacy Policy.
  • By using the services, you agree to the processing of the information as described.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are ruled by the laws of the State of California.
  • Any disputes will be solved by the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, USA.
